players who hit the headlines when they posed nude for a "Calendar
Boys" charity 2008 Calendar delivered the first copy off the
press to the first lady of the realm - at Buckingham Palace. The stripped eleven - who caused a rumpus with the local council at Buxted FC ground when they posed naked for the calendar by top female fashion photographer Candice - stripped again in Pall Mall when they delivered a copy to the Palace for HM The Queen. "We were stripped and very cold and wet", said farmer Bob Spencer, aged 68, "It's alright for the young studs of the team, they love it. But it is all in the best possible taste for the best possible cause and, of course, we shall be most respectfully delivering a copy for Her Majesty". Photographer Candice created the calendar to raise funds for a new water charity fresh2o, which already numbers Keira Knightley, Oliver Rothschild, Lily Cole, Sophie Anderton, Tamzin Outhwaite, Jenny Packham, Bulgari, Christian Loubotin and Christopher Portet among its chic supporters. fresh2o campaigns for fresh water systems for droughtlands where disease from dirty water kills up to 5,000 children worldwide each day......... fresh2o - launched last week to the high-end set at London Chelsea Harbour's Wyndham Grand Hotel - is growing in popularity with environmentalists who are heeding founder Candice's warning that "water will be the world's next oil problem". Besides snapping her neighbours naked, Candice has been highlighting the fresh2o movement through her fashion art photographry of icons including Keira Knightley and Kelly Brook posing underwater in giant tanks.
